WEST HOLLYWOOD DESIGN STUDIO
Jamie purchased a bungalow in West Hollywood and transformed it into his new office space. Immediately he decided that the building, which had undergone some poor remodels in the past, needed to be stripped down to the bones in order to build a solid foundation for the new office.
The goal was to create design studio that looked like a beautifully appointed home but could still function as a dynamic office space

During the process, Jamie came upon a vintage abstract oil painting that quickly became the color story for the entire house; and because the palette had been edited down to a few colors, it allowed for the overall design to incorporate many layers of objects across many time periods.
This project presented an interesting challenge for Jamie as he wanted to create a design studio that looked like a beautifully appointed home but could still function as a busy office for 8 people. In the end, the layout of the office worked out perfectly because the conference room became the heart of the house with all the support spaces surrounding it.
